Another chop bar operator arrested for pounding fufu under Mallam Junction overhead

The Police have arrested two women for operating a fufu ‘chop bar’ under the Malam overpass in Accra.

This was after GHOne and Starr FM broadcaster Francis Abban posted a video of the ongoing chop bar activities under on the highway on Facebook Saturday morning.

The two, Ruth Owusu, 32, and Mary Entia 35 are currently in the custody of the Accra Police while their Cooking Utensils, mortar, and pestles have been retrieved.

In August this year, two persons were arrested by Police for running a fufu joint on the pavement at the Pokuase Interchange.

6 Aggrey Memorial Students Arrested For Assaulting Adisadel Student.

  The Ghana Police Service in the Central Region has arrested six juvenile suspects in connection with the alleged assault of a student of Adisadel College in Cape Coast. According to a press release issued by the Central Regional Police Command, the suspects, all students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School, were handed over to the Kotokuraba Police Station by their school authorities on 20 February 2026 at about 7:30 p.m. Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on the same day, following the inter-colleges sports festival at the Cape Coast Stadium.
