Shatta Wale detained in police custody for a week

Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, made his first appearance in court following his arrest. He has been remanded in police custody for a week to reappear in court on Tuesday, October 26 2021.

On the evening of Monday, October 18, reports gathered from Shatta Wale’s PA and Head of Communications, Mr Nana Kojo Owusu Koranteng, claimed the musician had been shot by unknown gunmen.

Unfortunately, the shooting incident could not be verified by the police. And attempts to reach the alleged victim proved futile.

After Shatta Wale was declared wanted by the police, he turned himself in on Tuesday, October 19. The police also picked up the two close confidants, including Nana Dope, who leaked the report and have been charged with abetment of publication of false news.

Today, 21ST October 2021, Shatta has been arraigned before the Accra Circuit Court 3 for the publication of false news. And has been remanded in police custody to reappear in court next Tuesday.

6 Aggrey Memorial Students Arrested For Assaulting Adisadel Student.

  The Ghana Police Service in the Central Region has arrested six juvenile suspects in connection with the alleged assault of a student of Adisadel College in Cape Coast. According to a press release issued by the Central Regional Police Command, the suspects, all students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School, were handed over to the Kotokuraba Police Station by their school authorities on 20 February 2026 at about 7:30 p.m. Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on the same day, following the inter-colleges sports festival at the Cape Coast Stadium.
